Working Musically alongside People with Dementia: 'Planning & Reflecting'

This day will introduce the importance of planning and reflecting in working musically alongside people with dementia, taking into account varying needs within a group. It will also introduce different sensory and creative approaches to working with people living with dementia, and how these can be included in a music session. There will be an opportunity to explore planning and reflection models, try new ways of working (for you) in a safe environment and receive peer feedback and support. 

By the end of the day, you will have

• been introduced to various models and processes of planning and reflection
• developed area(s) of your practice 
• received peer feedback and support in your practice 
• connected with people working in the field of music and dementia
