Join us for ‘A life Worth Living’ training !
The Rise North East, Sports Welfare Managers at Rise North East are in place to provide extra capacity and expertise around the existing safeguarding and welfare work that National Governing Bodies and Active Partnerships already do.
Our purpose is to promote good welfare practice and safe sport at a local level and to support clubs and physical activity providers to move from Safeguarding compliance to the development of an effective welfare culture.
As part of this sports welfare provision, we have been able to team up with Washington Mind who will deliver this ‘A LIFE Worth Living’ suicide prevention and intervention training.
This focuses upon having a conversation. A conversation that can save lives!
This evidence-based training session will equip you with the information, knowledge and skills to have a compassionate, supportive conversation about suicide and suicidal thoughts. The LIFE model is your guide and will support you whilst you support others.
This is a FREE event and places are very limited.
Please click ‘SELECT TICKETS’ to register.
(Due to the limited number of places on this training, please let us know if you need to cancel no less than 7 days from the date of required attendance).
The venue is accessible and food/refreshments will be provided.
Due to the subject of this training, it is not recommended for those who have recently been bereaved and for some who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts.
