Singing Workshop with Pip Wright
- Everybody and all voices welcome - low voices, high voices and 'haven't sung for years' voices.
- Come and join us for a lovely afternoon learning and singing some simple, beautiful, harmony songs in the fine acoustic of our new CORE building.
- Help fill this precious, new space with joy and resonance.
- Pip will teach easy-to-learn rounds, songs and chants by ear ... no need to read music or be a confident singer.
- This will be a relaxed, friendly, singing workshop with a difference. As well as learning songs, participants will be invited to contribute ideas to help create our own St Ives’ Community Orchard Wassail song which Pip will work on over the summer and present at our September Apple Day celebration.
- There is no charge for the workshop but numbers are limited so please reserve a place
- Refreshments will be for sale during the break (to raise funds for the Community Orchard and CORE and future events and activities).
Pip is a local singing leader, a qualified teacher, a member of the ‘Natural Voice Network' and enjoys working with people who may have ‘missed out’ on music in the past. Pip has run ‘singing for well-being’ groups and leads two large community choirs: ‘Dawn Chorus’ and ‘Levow an Bys’. Pip sings and plays with various groups at community events and festivities and, with ‘Kana Kernow’, hosts workshops with local, national and international singing leaders and musicians. https://www.pipwright.co.uk/
