Drawing workshop @ Lothlorien therapeutic gardens
Come spend a morning drawing in therapeutic gardens of Lothlorien.
Using the gardens as inspiration, you will be guided through a set of prompts to explore your own artistic style. Throughout the workshop we will be using foraged, handmade art materials by Old Mill Arts, which are beautiful and versatile art materials to energise your drawing style.
I hope this workshop inspires you to keep drawing, with this in mind you will be given a sketchbook to take home. Sketch-booking can act as a visual diary; helping develop a sense of self and place as you observe and connect with the world around you.
I will bring a few sketchbook examples, and you are also welcome to bring your own sketch-books or drawings to share with the group.
This workshop is open to everyone, no matter where you are in your creative journey. Open to beginners who are looking for new ways to find creative wellbeing, or for seasoned artists who would enjoy time in the garden, experimenting with a new materials and meeting creative folk.

About Lothlorien
Lothlorien is a therapeutic residential community owned by the Rokpa Trust. We are set amongst 17 acres of tranquil woodlands, gardens, and meadows near Corsock village in rural Dumfries and Galloway. Two residential buildings nestle within our site, including an original log cabin built in 1974 from locally hewn larch and pine. Among the rustic outbuildings, you'll find a workshop, gym, TV room, music room, and a meditation room overlooking a serene pond. The bountiful vegetable gardens feature polytunnels, glasshouses, raised beds, a large composting area, and an old orchard, all providing our community with nearly year-round sustenance. Meandering paths, lined with hedges and willow, wind through the landscape, offering a peaceful retreat in harmony with nature.
