When a customer successfully makes an order for your event they will receive an order confirmation message both on screen and in an email. We have a default template for this message but you can also customise it if you wish. For example, if you would like all attendants of that event to bring addition identification with them, you can specify this in the order confirmation.
Customising the default order confirmation template
To change the default template, click the ‘Box office setup’ tab from your Ticket Tailor control panel, and click the ‘Order customisation’ button.
From there you may customise the email customers will receive.
For more information about how to edit this message please see Features of email customisation.
Customising the order confirmation template for a specific event
You can also override the confirmation message for a specific event.
Click through to your event from the Ticket Tailor control panel and click the ‘Edit details’ button on the right hand side.
At the bottom of the edit event form, click the link that says ‘Show advanced options’. A dropdown will appear with the header ‘Order confirmation’.
Select ‘Define custom messages for this event’ from this drop-down and a text box will appear allowing you to edit the confirmation message. For more information about how to edit this message please see Features of email customisation.

Placeholders
The placeholders make it possible for your order confirmation messages to contain specific order details. The placeholders tags available are all listed and can be placed anywhere in the confirmation message. Copy and paste these in to your message exactly as they appear and when this message is displayed to your customer the placeholders will be replaced with the real order details.
For example, if you had this as your order confirmation template:
Hi {customer-name}! Thank you for purchasing a ticket to {event-name} on {event-date}.
The resulting confirmation email that the customer receives would look like this:
Hi Jon Brown! Thank you for purchasing a ticket to Blues Night on 1/1/2012.
Basic HTML
It is possible to use some basic HTML to spruce up your confirmation messages. If you are unfamiliar with HTML you might like to get some help from a web developer with this.
