Managing online events: new features!
/With the challenges of the Coronavirus, many event organisers have had to think outside the box and figure out ways to make their events work online. We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of online events on Ticket Tailor, and in response to this shift, we’ve invested in improving the experience of managing the process of selling tickets for virtual events. This week, we’ve launched two new features which should help to make it even easier to sell tickets online:
Tailored online event confirmation emails
When you create your event, if you choose the ‘online event’ option, we’ll automatically default the email confirmation your customers receive to be tailored to this type of event. This means it won’t include any reference to a venue and instead of ticket vouchers / QR codes, the email confirmation will include an online event link so your customers can easily log in to your event.
Online event holding page link
If you’ve set your event up ready to sell tickets, but aren’t ready to share the event link just yet, that’s no problem with our new feature. When you create your event, you can leave the online event link empty, and we’ll include a holding page link in the customer confirmation email which will redirect to your link once you’ve gone back and added it when it’s ready.
