Meet Heal: the rewilding charity on a mission to give land back to nature, forever.

In today's world, taking care of nature and fighting climate change is crucial. That's where rewilding comes in – it's like giving nature a helping hand by letting it go back to its natural self. And guess what? It’s not just good for plants and animals, it's awesome for tackling climate change too!

That's why we're excited to introduce Heal Rewilding as our fourth charity partner at Ticket Tailor.

To mark the launch, we caught up with Ruby, Communications Trainee at Heal, to discuss the importance of rewilding and how these donations will support their mission of returning land to nature.

Inside the mind of a music agent – we talk to TALENTBANQ about the magic of representing incredible talent

Inside the mind of a music agent – we talk to TALENTBANQ about the magic of representing incredible talent

Most of us will have seen a version of that archetypal movie scene: the one where an undiscovered singer finally gets their big break after performing in the right place at the right time. Cue: stealth music agent emerging from the shadows – grabbing aforementioned musical talent by the elbow as they leave through the backstage door.

Meet Ray Jones – real-life music agent and talent scout, although perhaps not as cloak-and-daggers as Hollywood would have us assume.

For Ray, who is the CEO of live music agency TALENTBANQ, discovering and nurturing exceptional talent is all about breaking down barriers and giving musicians the tools and platform they need to get on that first rung of the ladder. It’s less take my card, kid – more let’s get you performing (and being paid) as soon as possible.

Usually, that first performance will take place at TALENTBANQ’s own grassroots venue in The Camden Chapel. This highly intimate spot sees audiences of around 40 delight in up-close-and-personal performances that shake the soul.

Don’t be fooled by the cosy charm of the Chapel, though. While there’s no denying magic takes place behind its doors, TALENTBANQ doesn’t shy away from booking slots at major music festivals, too. From the heady, sun-drenched fields of the Isle of Wight Festival to the moody backdrop of Camden’s famous Jazz Cafe, the agency is dedicated to booking the most appropriate gigs for its artists, depending on their very own, very unique style.

Here, we chat with Ray about all things musical talent, and the realities of representing a roster of seriously outstanding live artists.

Meet Becky, Founder of Legs Body Finish – the wine club with a full-bodied difference

Meet Becky, Founder of Legs Body Finish – the wine club with a full-bodied difference

Legs Body Finish is a wine tasting events business with a big difference. Several differences actually – the most refreshing of which has to be its dedication to lightheartedness and fun over cliched snobbery. (Note the opening line on its ‘about’ web page: “We love wine… the taste and the effects.”

Then there are the club’s wine tasting events for mums and dads – called Champers & Pampers, naturally – which have us raising our arms to the sky asking how on earth no one has thought of this before. Genius.

There’s a Sip & Savour Supper Club too, which sumptuously combines thought-provoking food with equally as impressive wine.

There’s nothing not to love about Legs, Body Finish, so we’re sure you’ll enjoy reading what founder Becky Jackson has to say in this event creator spotlight👇.

How Ticket Tailor donations are helping indigenous rainforest populations protect their local environments | Ticket Tailor x Rainforest Foundation UK

How Ticket Tailor donations are helping indigenous rainforest populations protect their local environments | Ticket Tailor x Rainforest Foundation UK

About 17 percent of the Amazonian rainforest has been destroyed over the past 50 years, and losses are on the rise. In fact, destruction rose by 21% in 2020 alone. When contemplating these sobering statistics, it’s often wildlife conservation and climate change action that spring to mind.

But what about the indigenous communities who live in and rely on rainforests for food, medicine, shelter and livelihoods? There are millions of them, and empowering them to defend their own ancestral lands is the key to protecting the rainforests of our world – as non-profit NGO, Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK)’s 33 year-strong mission poignantly highlights.

At Ticket Tailor, we’re proud to donate 1p (1.3c) to important causes for every ticket sold through our platform, and RFUK is one of them. In fact, in 2021 we partnered with three climate charities: Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK), Ocean Conservation Trust, and Cumbria Wildlife – for healthier oceans, healthier forests, and healthier bogs, to protect our planet and people.

Here, we chat with RFUK to give you an insight into their work, our involvement, and how you – both individuals and businesses – can get involved, too.
