Tips for running a networking event people are genuinely excited to attend

Some people thrive off networking. But for others, the idea of walking into a room full of strangers in order to promote their ‘best self’ is, quite literally, the stuff of nightmares. And understandably so. Even extroverts may experience a small stirring of dread at hearing the words ‘networking event’ – why give up an evening to talk shop, when you spend so much time working in the first place?

Of course, there’ll always be those avid professionals who love to sink their teeth into anything work-related. But how do you appeal to the networking novices – the ones who know they probably would benefit from putting themselves out there, but just can’t quite summon up the courage (or energy) to do so?

Let’s take a look.

Measuring, reducing and removing Ticket Tailor’s carbon output

Measuring, reducing and removing Ticket Tailor’s carbon output

The Ticket Tailor company vision is 'Growth on Purpose', which drives us to grow our business for the sake of the greater good of People and the Planet.

This vision grew from a quiet but important change we made last year to our company’s governing documents to legally commit ourselves to a ‘triple bottom line’ approach to business. In short, meaning we exist not just for profit, but also for the good of society and the environment. Measuring and understanding our carbon footprint is a huge part of this, and we have worked again this year with the awesome team at Supercritical to calculate our 2021 carbon emissions. Read on to find out how we want to go the extra mile in our carbon commitments.

We’re doubling our climate donations this Earth Day

We’re doubling our climate donations this Earth Day

The Ticket Tailor team are committed to combating the climate crisis. As a fully independent platform, we have the privilege of deciding exactly how we want to spend the money we make and one thing we are passionate about is ensuring we use a proportion of that money to donate to good causes.

As a team, we have collectively decided to channel those donations to charities that help to remove carbon emissions from the earth. To ensure we always prioritise giving to charity, we have committed to donating 1p (1.3c) for every ticket sold on the platform to climate causes. When you sell a ticket online with us, you’re helping to give back.

This Earth Day we’ve decided to double our climate donations. We will be donating 2p (2.6c) for every ticket sold on Ticket Tailor this Earth Day (22nd April, 2022).
