We here at Borland-Groover Clinic wanted to express how much we value your partnership with us. You are significant part of what makes BGC such a great organization. Each year, we put together a charity 5k run/ walk in support of Colon Cancer awareness called the March to Get Screened Volusia. All proceeds of this event go to the Borland-Groover Foundation for Research and Education. For many years we have held this event as part of our effort to ensure that people are aware of the dangers of colon cancer and how their chances of survival drastically increase if the disease is detected early. Colon cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the third leading cause of cancer death in both men and women in the US. March is colon cancer awareness month, and what's a better way to get the awareness out there, than to walk or run for someone you know who may have had or has colon cancer and remind everyone the importance to get screened!
5th Annual Race to Get Screened or March to Get Screened Volusia - we have combined forces with the Jacksonville Beach annual 5k.
The event is designed to provide funds for screening colonoscopies for high risk patients who are uninsured or underinsured. The funds are also used for education on preventing and treating other gastrointestinal disorders. We are very excited to be able to continue to grow this race and continue to provide the education and procedures people need to possibly save their lives. All proceeds benefit the BGC Foundation for research and education. Register today! Join us on Saturday, March 3, 2017 at the Trails community in Ormond Beach.
