PHP Developer (all levels) at small, established ticketing platform
Are you a talented PHP developer looking for an opportunity where your voice really matters, where you can make a big impact, and where you form an important part of an exciting business? Read on!
About Ticket Tailor
Ticket Tailor is an event ticketing platform that gives event organisers the freedom to take ticketing in-house without the need for a middle-man or agency.
We launched five years ago and have been growing steadily ever since, helping over 10,000 organisers sell over eight million tickets to events all over the world. We are proud to be a small team as we think this enables us to provide better service than the competition. We love not having investors as our real revenue makes us sustainable, and we don’t have to answer to anyone except ourselves and our clients!
About the role
We are looking for developers with at least three years’ experience. Being a small team you will get involved in all aspects of the product process – from ideas, to build and deployment, and customer feedback. You will architect, develop and build new features and maintain existing functionality on our current platform, as well as develop entirely new projects and business initiatives. You are excited about getting stuff done, making progress and essentially helping our customers achieve more!
Things we are excited to start working on:
- Migration by refactoring to Zend Expressive Framework
- Checkout redesign to speed up ticket buying and increase ticket purchase conversions
- Admin panel redesign (incl. responsive) to save our event organisers precious time
- Optimising the front-end of our website for speed, mobile, and accessibility
- Scaling our application and infrastructure to meet demand
- Internal admin tools to relieve the Customer Support teams of headaches
You are a relaxed and flexible person with a professional attitude and pragmatic approach to what you do. We want you to be interested in new tools and approaches to design but also appreciate the most important part of your role is delivering working software. We would like you to be good at:
Writing clear code that you and and your colleagues can read a year later
Testing and debugging
Programming in at least one PHP framework
Working on frontend as well as backend
Working with APIs
It would be a bonus if you had experience with:
The demands of e-commerce platforms
The job offer includes:

5 weeks holiday + bank holidays

Opportunity to work in a small business and get involved in more than just tech
