(On summer holiday after Friday, 22 July - weekly meditations resume Friday, 9 September 2022)
Activist and former monk, Satish Kumar, has always talked of farming as a spiritual practice. “Beyond our differences,” he says, “we all share the soil.” Now, Satish will offer a weekly meditation for those around the world who share a love of the soil and are working towards a better food and farming system. In this half-hour session, Satish will lead us through a meditation intended to strengthen our connection to the land and to each other, before taking questions from anyone looking for additional guidance. This is a unique opportunity to join a global circle of people who share similar intentions while reflecting on your own activism and food and farming practices.
Satish Kumar is the founder and a Fellow of Schumacher College and the Editor Emeritus of Resurgence Magazine. In 1973-1974, he walked for 8,000 miles from Delhi to Washington DC in a pilgrimage for peace.
