Summer Improvisers! (5th Grade and Up) – Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts

Spend the week creating theatre on your feet in this ensemble-style class full of beloved improv games and devised theatre technique. Young actors in grades 5 and up  will enjoy creating live theatre that is unplanned and unscripted. Each student will bring their unique ideas to the class in a supportive and safe environment that nurtures individuality and confidence. Everything in improv begins with YES! It's about accepting each other's ideas and seeing where they take us in a theatrical world. Camp will end with a friends and family showcase.  

Camp hours are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. We will snack and stretch each day at 10:00 am. At noon, we will break for lunch and recess. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes (no flip flops or sandals). All camp weeks include workshops with guests artists (past workshops have included face painting, hip hop, puppetry and more!). Don’t forget to bring your water bottle lunch and snack each day!
