Willow Basket Weaving Workshop

Immerse yourself in the timeless art of basketry on this full day course.

Join Karina, from Whittle & Weave, to create a round willow basket.

Working with a variety of sustainably harvested willows, learn key weaving techniques including a pairing weave, 3-rod wale, French rand and how to lay down a border.

This course is perfect for beginners as you will be guided step-by-step through each stage of the basket making process. 

Course Itinerary 

• Meet for a 10am start; introductions,  a brief intro to the farm and the day ahead
• 10.30 to 1pm.  First session of basket weaving
• 1pm to 2.  Break for lunch
• 2pm to 5pm.  Second session of basket weaving

Access Considerations

We will be weaving in the Tractor Shed.  Tables and chairs will be provided.  There is car parking a short walk away and WCs close by.  The farm is a working farm however and the ground is uneven in some areas.  If you have any concerns please contact us at the email address below.  

What to Bring

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a packed lunch with you.  Teas and coffee will be provided.
