Runners are being given an out-of-this-world opportunity to run and race under the darkest night skies in England. The 'Dark Skies Run' at Kielder Water & Forest Park, Northumberland, will take place over the weekend from Friday 20th March through to Sunday 22nd March 2020.
Kielder was awarded gold tier Dark Sky Park status by the International Dark Skies association in December 2013, making it the perfect venue for the ultimate starlit running challenge.
The event is again split into 3 races for 2020.
The 10 mile event will take place on the Friday 20th March, the 26.5 mile event takes place on Saturday 21st March, and the 14 mile event takes place on Sunday the 22nd March.
Giving runners an option of any of the 3 challenges to cater for all abilities.
Brand New for 2020 is the option to run The Dark Skies Double Bronze (10 & 14 events), Silver (10 & 26.5 events) or Gold (14 & 26.5 events). Returning also under a new name The Dark Skies Triple Platinum (10, 14 & 26.5 events).
All events come with Bespoke Medal, Tech T and Buff. And for those completing the Double or Triple, an exclusive award also.
