*This team also involves a one on one interview if chosen for consideration in addition to the physical audition.

My name is Kat Arias and I am the Owner and Director of the Ferocity Dance Company. All teams rehearse at our studio, located in Falls Church, VA.

I pride myself in my hard work ethic, appreciation for, and constant dedication to technique, emotional expressiveness and pushing myself as a dancer, coach and instructor at all times. These are things that I push for in all of my dancers: knowing and understanding that dance is far more than choreography alone, community, technique, a willingness to explore emotions and unity. I also pride myself in continuously working to create an inclusive environment, where people want to come to practice, and your teammates and coach can become lifelong connections to this period of time in your life.

Auditions include a combination of conditioning, choreography, shines and a conversation regarding Ferocity. Auditioning is not guaranteeing inclusion to the Company. Rehearsals for all teams will focus on drills, technique, body action and choreography. All teams will meet weekly starting in January on the following schedule:

Intermediate/Advanced Level and Up, Competitive
Starts in January
Tuesdays: 8pm - 11pm

*The choreographies in these teams may incorporate lifts and tricks.

*******Ferocity Dance Company - Amateur Ladies (FOOTWORK PASS)
Advanced Beginner Level & Up*
Starts in January
Level 1 (Advanced Beginner Level And Up / Non-Competitive):
Sundays: 2pm - 4pm

Level 2 (Intermediate Level And Up / Potential Competitors):
Sundays: 12pm - 2pm

Level 3 (Intermediate Level And Up / Competitors):
Mondays: 8pm - 10pm

*Please note that Level placement is solely up to the Director and decision is final.

Advanced Level & Up, Competitive
Starts in January

Sundays:
7pm - 10pm

Advanced Beginner Level & Up*

Please Note The Important Levels:

AMATEUR (Can Audition for Any Team):
Defined as a student or person who does not make a living as a Dance Instructor, Performer, Dance Competitor or Dance Adjudicator and who never receives financial compensation for these activities.

SEMI-PROFESSIONAL (Would Audition for Any Amateur Non-Competitive Team and/or Semipro):
Defined as a person who receives financial compensation as a Dance Instructor, Performer, Dance Competitor or Dance Adjudicator, but who does these activities on a part time basis and makes the majority of their income in another profession.

PROFESSIONAL (Would Audition for Any Amateur Non-Competitive Team and/or Semipro):
Defined as a person who receives financial compensation as a Dance Instructor, Performer, Dance Competitor or Dance Adjudicator, and who makes the majority or entirety of their income from these activities.

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE FOLLOWING DATES & TIMES:
Please note you may not audition twice for the same groupings
(For example, you cannot do both days of the footwork team auditions, you must choose one day.)
