Presenting…. The Power of Piano

In this workshop we want to celebrate our love of the piano, the instrument we both started with, which ultimately led us into our musical careers.

So we’ll be learning a special selection of beautiful choir music which will be accompanied only by the beautiful grand piano at the Colyer-Fergusson Hall.

The first piece is a return to our Frisson and film-music-focused roots.

Take a look at this beautiful video.

This stunning piece of music is ‘May It Be’ from The Lord Of The Rings soundtrack.

We were both blown away by this incredible performance (and think we’re going to have to get some LED candles involved when we sing it too!)

Better still…. It’s all in English… hooray!! 😂

We’ll focus on this in the morning, then in the afternoon we’ll learn a piece by someone who is renowned for writing some of the most famous songs in the world, starting just with a piano… Carole King.

There are SO many amazing Carole King songs to choose from, but we’ve decided on a heartfelt and moving version of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, which has lots of the goosebumpy harmonies we love.

This isn’t the exact version we’ll do, but you can get a taster of how ‘beautiful’ (geddit?) the song sounds sung by a choir, and just with a piano here.

Piano. Voices. Candlelight.

It’s going to be magical. We can’t wait to see you there!

Lots of love, laughter and musical goosebumps
