The Genesis: Pre-Cana Retreat is a one-day marriage preparation retreat that seeks to bring couples into an encounter with the love of Christ through warmth and beauty, Scripture and Sacraments, prayer, witness, and accompaniment.
Engaged couples are preparing to say a wholehearted “I do” to one another on their wedding day. On the Genesis: Pre-Cana Retreat, a team of married couples delves into each of the wedding vows and shares God’s blessings in their journey of married life. What does this “yes” really entail? What makes the sacrament of marriage different than a civil marriage? What are man and woman called to be and become in the vocation of marriage? What does married love look like? What are the responsibilities as a Catholic husband and wife?
The retreat agenda includes a continental breakfast, lunch, four presentations, reflection and discussion time, Eucharistic adoration, and an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
