The World Stone Skimming Championships are held on the stunning west
coast island of Easdale in Scotland. An island blessed with millions of
perfect skimming stones after the island's slate mining industrial past
has left the island with perfect skimming stones and large, water
filled quarries, one of which has created the world’s first stone
skimming arena.
Along with being the spiritual home of stone skimming, the competition on Easdale serves as a vital community fundraising event.
Come and test your skills in the 63m quarry against competitors from all over the world in what is sure to be one of the most unique sporting events of the year.
