On June 20, 2022, Lindsey Martin-Penny celebrated her 59th birthday. Five days before, following months of chemotherapy treatments, her oncologist told her that her cancer had spread rapidly and there was no effective treatment available. She had only months, or more likely only weeks to live. Some birthday present! Sadly, Lindsey passed away from Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer on July 21, 2022.

On June 20, 2024, we will be honouring Lindsey’s memory with an evening of music and giving. Lindsey’s Legacy Cabaret: A Birthday Gift presents A Night in Vegas, starring two former members of The Nylons (Lindsey’s favourite group), Micah Barnes and Billy Newton-Davis. Join us for a spectacular night to remember.
What happens in Vegas stays in … Midland! Think The Sands, The Riviera, The Golden Nugget, Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr.

Picture yourself at the “Reception in the Atrium” being served delectable bites from Feast Catering, sipping a drink from the cash bar, and posing in the swanky photo booth. Then on to Rotary Hall with Vegas club themed tables, elegant décor, and table bar service. Hear from The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation: Lindsey’s Legacy Fund really is important! Be inspired by stories of advances in ovarian cancer research. Your dazzling MC, Jaime Crouch, takes you through an entertaining fundraising and live auction program. And then, A Night in Vegas!

Micah and Billy transport you on a musical ride packed with humour, songs of Las Vegas, and captivating personal journeys.

You don’t want to miss it!

All donations and profits from the evening go to Lindsey’s Legacy Fund For Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer Research (a fund of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation), supporting the work of Dr. Stephanie Lheureux, an internationally recognized expert in ovarian cancer research.
