This 4 week, 8 hour course is the first part of a two-part course that is a vital introduction to Islam for New Muslims and anyone interested to learn more about Islam. The course focuses on the essentials of belief and practice, as well as spirituality and character from an Islamic perspective. Questions and discussions are encouraged in class and students can feel comfortable asking all of the questions they need in a nonjudgmental environment. Students are strongly encouraged to take NMP II which will be offered in the following semester.
