Hack4Tourism Trento Green Insight: Navigating Climate and Tourism

Welcome to the Trento Green Insight Hackathon 2024!

We are excited to announce the Trento Green Insight Hackathon, an innovative event organized by Open Data Playground in collaboration with the Junior Enterprise Trento. This groundbreaking event is your chance to dive into the fascinating intersection of tourism and climate sustainability.

Event Details

Dates

• Start: October 19, 2024
• End: October 27, 2024
• Final Awards Ceremony: November 7, 2024

Objective

Participants will develop innovative, data-driven solutions to enhance both environmental sustainability and tourism. The hackathon encourages creativity and technical proficiency to address real-world challenges in these areas.

Eligibility

Participation is open to University of Trento students. Teams can consist of up to 4 members. Individual registration is also possible, and team formation support will be provided through the Open Data Playground Discord server.

Technical Environment

Tools Provided

• Participants will use the powerful OutSystem Environment, utilizing pre-built templates and low code modules to create mobile and web apps in less than ten minutes.

Submissions

• Submit your cutting-edge solutions on the dedicated ODP OutSystems folder.

Registration

Steps for Registration:

1. Verify Eligibility: Ensure all team members are University of Trento students and ready to work in a team of four.
2. Form a Team: Specify your unique team name on the registration form.
3. Register Online: Visit the official event page: Trento Green Insight Hackathon https://journal.opendataplayground.com/hack4tourism-trento/
   • Click "Register" to proceed to Ticket Tailor.
   • Complete the registration on Ticket Tailor: Registration on Ticket Tailor.
   • Ensure each team member registers on Ticket Tailor, Discord, and OutSystems.

Deadline

• Registration closes on October 5, 2024, at 00:00.

Activating Your Profile on OutSystems

• After registration closes, look out for an email (check your spam folder if needed) with an invitation to activate your OutSystems profile. Follow the instructions to set up your profile.

Preliminary Courses Participation

• Prepare with online courses, especially those from OutSystems and the Fastweb Digital Academy, in the two weeks leading up to the event.

• Start: October 19, 2024, 00:00 CET
• End: October 27, 2024, 23:59 CET

Ensure you have a stable internet connection and access the event platform on the specified dates and times.

Solution Submission

• Submit your solutions in the OutSystem ODP environment.

Evaluation and Awards

Evaluation Period

• October 28 to November 10, 2024

Awards Ceremony

• Finalists will pitch their solutions during the hybrid awards event on November 7, 2024.
