** IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING UNDER 18-YEAR-OLDS **

Please note, as a result of California's Assembly Bill 506 ("Youth service organizations: child abuse and neglect prevention"), which went into effect in 2022, there are strict limitations on our ability to accommodate minors.

If you wish to register a minor for the conference, please contact the conference director at director@vcwconf.com.


All-Inclusive Cost

The cost of the conference is "all-inclusive." Registration includes all meals, major morning tracks, workshops, evening sessions, etc., as well as accommodation. It does NOT include the optional Mentor Track add-on.

Purchase Limits/Roommates

You may purchase just ONE accommodation ticket. If you are planning to share a room with a friend, you will need to book separately and supply your friend's name during checkout (there is a space just for this purpose). We will do our best to assign preferred roommates but cannot guarantee this. If you are attending alone and need a roommate, we will assign you one.

Accommodation can only be provided for registered attendees.
Everyone sharing a room must be registered separately.

NEW This Year: CABINS!

We have a very limited number of cabins that can hold from 2-6 people available. If you have a group that is interested in staying together, please contact director@vcwconf.com for more details. All cabins have at least one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room area. They must be registered as a whole (we can not take single reservations in a cabin), so rally your group and send a message for this super fun option.

Basic Economy (Double) Rooms
To give attendees another economical option, this year we are thrilled to be able to offer these Basic Economy Rooms. Each room contains 2 twin beds, with a dorm-style room setup, a sink in the room with common showers and restrooms located just down the hallway. All linens and hand soap are provided.

Shower Room

Optional Mentoring Track Add-On

Introduced at the 2022 conference, and with VERY limited spaces, this is an exciting addition. For writers needing specific and very focused input, this add-on option is perfect. You will meet each day of the conference during the morning hours for a consult with your assigned mentor. Each day will focus on one aspect of your writing journey and will include an assessment of your writing, platform, and marketing options, as well as next-steps.

This track requires an in-depth questionnaire filled out and submitted at least one week before the conference starts, as well as a writing sample of up to three chapters (no more than 10,000 words, but at least 2,000).

Space is EXTREMELY limited for this option.

Refund/Cancelation Policy

For cancelations, Mount Hermon has a very strict refund policy we must follow, which is:

  • From time of registration to 121 days prior to the conference, 75% of the registration fee will be refunded
  • From 120 to 91 days prior to the conference, 50% will be refunded
  • From 90 to 61 days, 25% will be refunded
  • Less than 61 days prior to the conference, no refunds are made
