Help us bless and serve our community at a SOAR Social Club event at the SOAR office (12201 W 88th Street, Lenexa, KS 66215) on the 2nd Tuesdays of every month from 6pm-8:30pm.
We need volunteers to serve as group buddies to individuals 18 and older with lower support needs. We will serve them dinner, play games, participate in themed activities, and socialize. This social club is to help or participants build community and relationships among their peers.
Background Check: If you are 18 or older (by Social Club) and have not completed a background check with us within the past 3 years, you must submit a background check at least 1 week in advance of the event. A background check application from SOAR Special Needs will be sent to you after you register.
Training: All volunteers must complete a short video training and answer training questions prior to volunteering. Training videos and questions can be found HERE.
