Join us in Animal Sketchbooking, where we’ll be drawing all kinds of critters big and small. From ungulates, mammals, reptiles and birds, study and learn basic animal anatomy and key structural points. Hone your observational drawing skills, as well as gestural field sketching for quick observations. Students will leave the workshop with a sketchbook filled with natural science illustrations, animal anatomy and other notes. This course is perfect for anyone wanting to start a consistent sketchbook practice, and take it with you to draw from life.
All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged in this class. Join us for a wild good time!
Materials Needed:
Medium size Multimedia Sketchbook, 9” x 12” ish (thicker paper is best!)
Watercolor sketchpad (recommended: Fabriano 140lb Aquarelle Watercolor 9” x 12” from blick)
Basic Watercolor paint set, or field sketching watercolor set (small set of Windsor Newton blocks works great)
Basic watercolor brushes, a few small pointed and flat brushes and cup for water
Staedtler Mars Pencil set or Other brand (2H, HB, B, 4B, 6B)
Kneadable Erasers
Sharpener
White vinyl Eraser
Ruler (Triangle optional)

Refund policy:
Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 7 days before your scheduled cohort start date. Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance of the event date will receive a 50% refund.
Courses are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. Full refunds will be given to all students in the event this occurs.
