EVC Revalidation

Only available to those who have attended initial EVC Training within the last 3 years

Our EVC revalidation training is principally delivered using a remote set-up. Since March 2020 we have delivered our EVC training via a two-part remote blended approach, this was originally out of necessity, however, the feedback we have received is this is the preferable method for our schools.

It enables:

  • attendees to save time travelling;
  • attendees to reduce their carbon impact;
  • schools to reduce costs on supply cover;
  • attendees to feel safe by not mixing with people outside of their immediate circle, reducing the risks associated with COVID;
  • allows us to be flexible with cancellation or postponement due to last-minute issues arising in schools.

DELIVERY METHOD:

The live facilitated update training will be delivered as a classroom session online via Zoom. This can be accessed via a computer, laptop and tablet. (3 hours)

Due to IQA and EQA requirements, you must have a working camera and microphone.

WHY CHOOSE US:

We focus on the key aspects of running, planning and managing educational visits. We ensure our course content is up to date with guidance and legislation changes. We work with a team to ensure our internal and external quality assurance is robust and our course has rigour with an assessment at the end.

We have experience in training Maintained schools, Academies and Independent Schools throughout England, Europe and Internationally.

COURSE RATIONALE:

This update course covers aspects of the law related to educational visits, risk assessment of visits, and the administrative requirements associated with off-site educational activities as recommended by the Department for Education.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This course is aimed at existing EVCs who have attended full EVC Training within the last 3 years in all schools (maintained, Independent Schools, Foundation Schools, and Academies) in England and Wales where the employer has agreed that this is suitable.

Although many of the subjects are transferable, this course is not aimed at FE and HE settings.

The course provides updates on strategies used for risk management and risk assessment off-site and will include sessions on:
