Session 1: Jewish Leadership for a Modern Age

with Dr Elliott Malamet

In this first session examining the thought of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks of blessed memory, we will explore a central theme in his writing, that of the qualities required for effective and inspirational leadership. We will analyse his writings on Biblical characters as well as other figures from general culture to create a picture of Rabbi Sacks’ ideal leader and his conception of the proper relationship between those in authority positions and the people they wish to lead.
