THE CRAFT OF MUSIC & LYRICS IN STORYTELLING Presented by award winning award-winning Bay Area playwright and composer Min Kahng.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

We know music and lyrics make up a song, but how do these two fundamental aspects come together specifically for great storytelling in musical theatre? In this workshop, we'll examine elements both musical (style, rhythm, motifs, etc) and lyrical (rhymes, poetic language, character, voice, etc) from existing works to learn how to create impactful songs for our own shows. Knowledge of music theory may be helpful when looking at examples, but is not required to participate.

REGISTRATION INFO:

Suggested donation of $10-$20. Registrants will be sent an email with a Zoom link.
