Our theme for our conference from 13-15th March 2017 is Grasping the Nettle. We are gathering in the beautiful setting of Launde Abbey in Leicestershire giving us the chance for our unique combination of conference and retreat.
Grasping the Nettle will give time to reflect theologically together, seeking to find ways to resource both our thinking and praying.
We are delighted this year to have as our main speaker Rev Dr Emma Ineson. Emma Ineson is the Principal of Trinity College, Bristol and a former chaplain to the Bishop of Bristol. She is the author of Busy Christian Living and a contributor to the Pilgrim course. She is married to Mat and they have 2 teenage children. She was formerly a chaplain at Lee Abbey (before teaching at Trinity previously) and a member of General Synod.
There will be a range of exhibitors, a book stall, art work, clergy shirts, free time as well as pampering opportunities. To find out more about the conference go to our website and/or follow us @awesomerevs on twitter.
You can view the programme for conference on our website here.
The cost this year is £200 per person, or £190 per person if you are willing to share and you can pay this by cheque and send the booking form (see below) to Michelle Porter-Babbage (her details are on the booking form). We are able to offer a number of bursaries aimed in particular at Ordinands and those unable to afford the full cost. If this is you then please get in touch. You do now need to pay the full amount by the deadline on the booking form to ensure a place at the conference.
