BRIGHT BOX COMEDY SHOWS MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR THOSE UNDER THE AGE OF 18.
Bright Box and Kaleidoscope Comedy are proud to present an evening of laughter featuring some of the very best stand up comedians in the business! For the month of March we're thrilled to feature the hilarity of Bengt Washburn and Patrick O'Donnell.
Bengt Washburn is an Aquarius with Hazel eyes who prefers boxer briefs, solid deodorants, and Crest toothpaste. He is 5'9" tall, weighs about 149 pounds and can bench 150 pounds three times without a spotter. He has a vertical leap of 16 inches. 8 years ago a lump appeared on his right thigh. Its not visible from the stage but according to some kids at the water park, it looks creepy. Many people say Bengt looks kind of like a monkey.
"Washburn is a truly hilarious comedian..."
The Monterey County Weekly
Bengt Washburn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but grew up in a large Utah town (1,200 people) as the fifth child in a small Mormon family (7 children). Bengt is married to an officer in the United States Airforce. They have lived in 6 different cities over the last eleven years. Most recently he moved to Springfield, Virginia (Washington D.C.) after living in Stuttgart, Germany for 3 years.
Bengt is a former winner of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He has been seen on The Late Late Show with Craig Fergusen, Live at Gotham on Comedy Central and most recently Conan on TBS. He was invited to perform at the Vancouver International Comedy Festival, The Boston Comedy Festival, the Aspen Laff Festival and Gilda's Laugh Fest in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He's been heard on NPR, PRI and Bob and Tom. All three of his comedy Cd's can be heard playing on XM Sirius radio.
Most people who know him would say Bengt is a logistically impaired ditz, but his comedy is described as intelligent, surprisingly universal considering the content matter and profoundly funny.
Patrick O'Donnell has been a comedian for over 30 years. Pat has been seen on Comedy Central, A&E's Comedy On The Road and was a $10,000 winner on ABC's America's Funniest People. He has also written jokes for Jay Leno and Jimmie "JJ" Walker.
O'Donnell is a high-energy act, who spices up his performance with his knack for impressions. Former presidents, movie and TV stars could pop up anytime as searches for the humorous side of life.
Pat has worked all over the country and is a regular at the Comedy Stops in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He plays colleges and clubs as well as corporate functions for companies like Comcast and MBNA.
Pat talks about today's current events, his Catholic upbringing and the trials of a man who takes care of the kids, as well as marriage in general. He light-heartedly pokes fun at all of them.
Over the years, Pat has been the co-host of a cable talk show, acted in plays, done commercials and constantly updated his act to reflect his life. He hits the stage with a smile and leaves the audience laughing.
