“A Brief History of UK3B” is a piece of speculative fiction telling several interwoven narratives over a span of several hundred years.
Two centuries from now, historian Marie Kendall pieces together a research project on how and why humanity left its native Earth for an uncertain world halfway across the solar system.
Marie’s findings bring her into contact with various sources and testimonies as she begins to reveal her own struggles in this new world, and forges a very personal connection with the story of a family from a Welsh town once known as Port Talbot.
Her past, our future.
The show will take place in the Westwood Lecture Theatre (WLT) on the 4th, 5th and 6th of December, with the doors opening at 7pm each night. Please be aware that the play includes themes of existentialism, illness, cancer, and death (of a family member).
