Analogue Dreamscapes: Intermediate 16mm film
Analogue Dreamscapes: Intermediate 16mm film
Need help?
This workshop will build on the fundamentals of working with 16mm film. It will take you through the mechanisms of a Bolex, choosing film stock, using a light meter exploring more advanced possibilities. We will use these learnings to shoot a series of analogue dreamscapes on a roll of colour 16mm film. (aprox 50 seconds of film per participant). After the workshop, films will be developed, scanned and sent to each participant.
Part of the session will also include dedicated time for participants to recieve mentorship/ feedback on a project you are working with (or hope to work with) 16mm film.
The workshop format for both will include group discussions, demonstrations and practical exercises. You are free to participate as much or as little as you like. I am beyond excited to share the space with you all, learn from one another and explore this together.
Tickets are £105-£165 sliding scale. 'The Green Bottle' may help determine where you fall on the scale. This workshop has the capacity for 6 participants maximum. Despite this workshop being more intermediate there is no expectation for participants to have worked with a bolex before. This session is just slightly more in depth and focused.
I am really excited that the workshops will be hosted at The Soanes Centre. It is a really incredible space and I am grateful to the Kin Structures team for their support. The Soanes Centre is fully accessible, it has an accessible toilet and the main pond and main paths of the park are also wheelchair accessible.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or access requirements. I can't wait to meet you all, and learn from you and exchange ideas and practices
With warmth and gratitude,
Bea
