This workshop will build on the fundamentals of working with 16mm film. It will take you through the mechanisms of a Bolex, choosing film stock, using a light meter exploring more advanced possibilities. We will use these learnings to shoot a series of analogue dreamscapes on a roll of colour 16mm film. (aprox 50 seconds of film per participant). After the workshop, films will be developed, scanned and sent to each participant.

The workshop format for both will include group discussions, demonstrations and practical exercises. You are free to participate as much or as little as you like. I am beyond excited to share the space with you all, learn from one another and explore this together.

The workshops are for those currently under represented in the film industry (women, trans and non binary people, BIPOC people, queer people and disabled people). Concession tickets are set aside/ reserved for BIPOC.
