The launch event for National Hate Crime Awareness Week, this year focussing on raising awareness of Anti-LGBT+ Hate Crime.

Silence as the National Candle of Hope and Remembrance for those affected by Hate Crime* is lit this year in solidarity with those who have experienced Anti-LGBT+ hate crime.
This year the National Candle is being lit in memory of the 10 people who were featured in the London LGBT+ Advisory Group‘s “Thematic Review of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Related Murders” which was published in 2007.

* After the service the National Candle of Hope and Remembrance for those affected by Hate Crime will be relocated to St Paul's Cathedral where it will be on display for the duration of National Hate Crime Awareness Week #NationalHCAW 2024 (12th-29th October 2024).
The London LGBT+ Advisory Group was founded by representatives from the LGBT+ community following the nail bomb attack against the Admiral Duncan in April 1999 - the forum is 25th years old. You can find out more here.
