A stand-up comedy writing class accelerates your learning curve by teaching you the mechanics of joke structure, premise development, and word economy. It provides built-in accountability through deadlines, offers a safe space for early stage-time, and connects you directly with a network of peers and mentors

Mastery of Joke Structure: Classes teach you the anatomy of a joke—how to set up an expectation and deliver a punchline that builds tension and surprise. This teaches you to "trim the fat" from your stories so every word serves the punchline

Pam Benjamin has been performing comedy since 2011 getting her start in San Francisco. Despite starting to learn Greek in 2025, she now also performs comedy in Greek as well as English! She is the director of the Mutiny Radio teaching Joke Workshop live and podcast since 2014 where she also produced 8 Mutiny Radio Comedy Festivals as well as being a co-producer for the 2nd time for the International Comedy Festival in Cyprus.

Pam has been producing weekly comedy shows in English in Athens since 2024. She holds an MFA in Poetry, MA in fiction, has written a novel and taught comedy to people from age 12 to 80! 

We are thrilled to have Pam bring her personality and skills to Ο Ελληνικός Πολυχώρος and be a part of our opening weekend.

This class is a taster, we will treat you to refreshments and even throw in the pencils and notepads that you will need for your musings.

In the future we fully intend to host a comedy writing course with Pam, but for now come and have a taste of what's on offer!
