Ο Ελληνικός Πολυχώρος, the new centre for community in Downtown Athens is pleased to be opening on the weekend of 25/26 July with a free Sound Healing session with Rozalia Galatou.

Sound healing is delivered via sound baths or singing bowls and uses resonant vibrations to calm the nervous system. Its primary benefits include stress reduction, pain relief and improved sleep. This is achieved by slowing brainwave activity, shifting the body into a restorative, "rest-and-digest" state

Stress & Anxiety Reduction: The calming, low-frequency vibrations stimulate the Vagus nerve, which helps lower cortisol (the primary stress hormone) and decreases feelings of tension, fatigue, and anger

Pain Management: For individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia, some research indicates that therapeutic vibrations can reduce discomfort and improve mobility

Enhanced Mental Clarity & Focus: By syncing brain waves to more relaxed frequencies (such as Theta waves), sound baths help quiet a racing mind, promoting deep meditation and heightened cognitive focus

Emotional Release: The deep resonance of instruments like gongs and crystal bowls can help process trauma, release energetic blockages, and stimulate the release of mood-enhancing neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin

Rozalia is a passionate yoga teacher and sound healing facilitator whose relationship with movement began with dance, giving her an early, embodied sense of presence and the connection between body and mind. That foundation carried her into yoga at a young age, and over time deepened into a 500-hour training in India and certifications in Greece. She holds a degree in Psychology and also teaches kids yoga. She brings sound and vibration into her work through sound healing alongside movement.

Rozalia offers a grounded space where students are invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and explore their inner world  with curiosity and compassion. Rozalia believes in the power of mindful movement to support personal growth, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of belonging, both within ourselves and in the world around us. She values the strength of the collective, recognising community as a vital space for healing, connection, and shared transformation.

To welcome in the opening of our new community centre we are including a complimentary drink of Matcha from Sato Tokyo Matcha, the first authentic Japanese owned matcha brand to exist in Greece.

The event is free, however if you wish to show your appreciation to Rozalia you are more than welcome.
