This Wetherspoons pub is located to the north of Birmingham New Street Station, and it is very close to Cathedral Square and not far from the IA Engine Room at Colmore Circus.

The Birmingham offices of TrinityBridge (previously known as Close Brothers Asset Management) are nearby, at 4 St Philip's Place, which fronts Cathedral Square where there will be an opportunity to visit the Christmas Market, if there is one this year. (Just a short walk from Cathedral Square is the IA Engine Room at Colmore Circus.)

The last fast train back to London leaves just after 9 pm.

Please note that we all pay our own way all day, in the same way that we do for CTG Events.

As always, we look to dine or have drinks at good-value locations irrespective of whether we are being entertained by a host or not.

What are the travel arrangements?

All of us are responsible for making our own way there and back home.

Getting there!

From London to Birmingham: The two cities are a little more than 110 miles apart, and travelling between them takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes at off-peak times by road or from just over 1 hour and 15 on a fast train. (Most trains depart from Euston, from where some slower trains take 2 hours or more. Trains departing from Marylebone typically take a little over 2 hours to reach Birmingham.)

From other locations to Birmingham: Most folks will have their preferred mode of travel.

Getting home!

From Birmingham:

Those travelling by train to London are urged to catch a train by around 9 pm at the latest. They are also advised to check that their return journey will be leaving from the same station. (While most trains depart from Birmingham New Street, some depart from Birmingham Moor Street.)

On other routes, most folks will have their preferred mode of travel.
