In 1928 the Beeston Parish Church was asked to establish 2nd Beeston Sea Scouts and it was based at the Church rooms and on the River Trent. It was from this point the group was known as 2nd Beeston Sea Scouts (Parish Church Group).

More than 90 years later we are still going! Our land base is at Lilac Grove HQ in Beeston Rylands, and our water base is Barton Island on the River Trent (close to Attenborough Nature Reserve).

We are a unique group in the South West Nottinghamshire District and we offer a wide range of adventurous activities for young people (boys and girls) aged 6 – 18 on a weekly basis. We have well established, thriving sections for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

Fundraising is a constant need and we hope to bring enjoyable events to the public to support this.
