Ten years ago we made a memorable visit to Perrygrove to recreate the Victorian Estate railways of Eaton Hall and Duffield Bank and the pioneering work of Sir Arthur Heywood.

With thanks to the Perrygrove Railway we have an opportunity to revisit this with the visit of Eaton Hall engine "Katie" which is on a short visit from the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (history of the engine can be found here) for the railways gala the preceeding weekend . We also have Perrygrove's newest engine "Mr Hallworth" 

We will make use of the railways collection of goods wagons and with steep gradients as the railway climbs through the site plenty of opportunity to capture the engines at work in as close to an estate environment as possible
