L&Y A Class 52322 at Lakeside and Haverthwaite

A Class 52322 at Lakeside Spring 2025

With thanks to Andy Booth and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway we’re pleased to announce dates with A Class No.52322 on the 2nd & 3rd April 2025.

The locomotive will be making a short visit to the railway to participate in these charters, we’re also pleased to offer the first goods charter at the railway in over a decade. Finally, it’s worth noting that this visit will provide one of the last opportunities to photograph the locomotive in BR Black before it is repainted this summer.

Day 1: Wednesday 2nd April 2025

The first day will feature a short goods, featuring a mixture of bauxite wagons. The day will start at Haverthwaite around 7:30am and we will have access to the full line. The day will run to approx. 4pm.

There may be a requirement for some to travel by car given limited space in the brake van.

Limited to 35 spaces, £140.00 for the day.

Day 2: Thursday 3rd April 2025

The second day will feature a mixed set, the plan is to have 2 box wagons and 2 MK1 coaches. Again, the day will start at Haverthwaite at 7:30am and we will have access to the full line. The day will run to approx. 4pm. We will be able to travel by train on this day.

Limited to 35 spaces, £140.00 for the day.
