Fowler 3F 47298 at Embsay and Bolton Abbey steam Railway

Currently visiting the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway, we are pleased to announce a day with LMS 3F No.47298 

Stock will be the engineers' train seen in the video. Since arriving at the railway, the locomotive has been transformed back into BR Black livery. With thanks to the locomotive's owner and the railway for making this possible, our event will take place on 8 October 2026.

We will have full possession of the railway, and the locomotive is currently facing west (towards Embsay). The day will commence from Embsay Station at 9:00 am and conclude at approximately 5:00 pm. There will be plenty of opportunities to photograph the locomotive at popular locations along the line, including Skibeden, Stoneacre Loop, Bolton Abbey and others.

To ensure a comfortable day's photography, numbers will be limited to 35 participants.
