Pontypool & Blaenavon Autumn 2026

With thanks to Blaenavons Heritage Railway we are pleased to present two days in support of the railways Industrial Railways of South Wales Gala . 

Saturday 3rd October will feature GWR Pannier tank 7754 , visiting from the Llangollen Railway and ex Mountain Ash colliery . As the loco will remain in its early British Railways Livery the plan is to use a mix of the Manchester and Milford Saloon and GWR Auto coach (both in carmine and cream) along with a goods rake. The Steam in South Wales vol 4 book front cover shows 5752 at Blaenavon Low Level and on an Auto coach albeit running as a normal coach

Sunday 4th October will see a to be announced visiting engine on the railways mineral wagon rake . 

Both days we have the full line which as previous trips have shown has plenty of photographic potential and hard working engines
