All-Wales Foster Framework Consultation - LA Operational

As part of the re-commissioning of the All-Wales Foster Framework, we would like to invite Local Authority colleagues to participate in an operational consultation session to help inform the future development of the framework.

We have already engaged with framework foster providers to gather their views, experiences and suggestions regarding the current framework and opportunities for future development. It is equally important that we hear from Local Authorities to ensure the review is informed by the perspectives of those involved in placement finding, contract management and the day-to-day operation of the framework across Wales.

The session will focus on:

• Placement finding and referral processes
• Framework operation and functionality
• Contract management arrangements
• Provider relationships and communication
• Current challenges and efficiencies
• Opportunities for improving the future framework

The session will provide an opportunity to:

• Share your experiences of using the current All-Wales Foster Framework.
• Discuss what is working well and should be retained.
• Identify operational challenges and areas for improvement.
• Consider opportunities to improve placement processes and outcomes.
• Help shape a future framework that is effective, efficient and responsive to local authority needs.
