Make & Take: Farm-Fresh Pickling Workshop

Join us at the 4Roots Farm Campus for a hands-on Make & Take Workshop! Bring the crisp, tangy flavors of the farm straight to your kitchen — perfect for anyone looking to preserve a taste of the season.

In this interactive class, you'll learn how to make your own fridge pickles from start to finish. Our team will guide you step-by-step through selecting the right produce, blending a flavorful brine, and packing your jar for the perfect crunch.

We'll kick things off with a short behind-the-scenes look at how we grow and harvest our pickling cucumbers here on the farm. Then it's your turn to get hands-on: each participant will prepare and pack their own jar of fridge pickles using fresh farm ingredients, and go home with everything they need to let them cure — perfect for the Florida season!

Make & Take Workshops are monthly, beginner-friendly, hands-on experiences hosted by the 4Roots Farm team, designed to introduce our community to creative, sustainable DIY crafts inspired by nature. 🌿

Each workshop highlights an accessible, eco-friendly activity: from natural dyeing to botanical art and more, using materials sourced right here on the farm. Open to all ages, these sessions invite guests to learn new skills, explore the beauty of natural resources, and leave with a handmade creation to take home. Please Note: Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
