67 Pall Mall x MWM Wine School Presents: WSET Awards Level 3 in Wine

For those ready to take their wine knowledge to the next level, the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, presented by 67 Pall Mall in collaboration with the prestigious MWM Wine School by Debra Meiburg MW, offers a comprehensive exploration of how the world’s great wines are made and why they taste the way they do. Designed for both dedicated enthusiasts and industry professionals, this in-depth course builds a detailed understanding of the key factors that shape wine style and quality across the globe.

Across the programme, Members will examine the influence of location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation, and bottling on the character of wine. These foundations are applied to the principal still, sparkling, and fortified wines of the world, enabling students to confidently explain how climate, viticulture, and production choices translate into the glass.

The course also develops a disciplined approach to tasting through the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT). Guided tastings throughout the sessions sharpen participants’ ability to describe wines precisely and evaluate their quality with confidence.

This qualification requires a minimum of 84 hours of study, including 30 hours of classroom learning, and culminates in two assessments:

• Unit 1: A closed-book exam consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions and a short written paper.
• Unit 2: A blind tasting assessment of two wines.
