Six wines, three grape varieties, and two of Napa’s most consequential addresses: Oakville and To Kalon.
This tasting puts Robert Mondavi’s Cabernet Sauvignon hierarchy under the microscope, moving from the 2022 Napa Valley bottling to the 2021 Oakville Cabernet, before finishing with the 2019 Reserve To Kalon. Along the way, we’ll look at how site and vintage reshape the same variety – and what, precisely, you gain as you move from appellation to vineyard.
The whites offer their own counterpoint: the 2024 Chardonnay alongside the 2022 Reserve To Kalon Fumé Blanc, while the 2024 Pinot Noir rounds out the line-up with a look beyond Mondavi’s Cabernet stronghold.
Co-hosted by Derek Li MS and brand ambassador Jacob Steiner, this is a tasting for Members interested in the detail: site expression, vintage variation, élevage and the evolution of Napa Valley in the glass.
