Crushed it! 67 Pall Mall’s End of Vintage BYO Long Lunch

As the curtain falls on the 2026 vintage, 67 Pall Mall Melbourne invites you to our inaugural End of Vintage BYO Long Lunch. Without the growers, makers and the teams behind the scenes, there's no reason for a Club like ours to exist. We are for wine lovers, by wine lovers after all. So, it's time to dust off your Sunday best and a bottle from the cellar, loosen a belt notch and settle into the comfort of a long lunch.

As we start a tradition of our own, we'll be tapping into another that's tried and true; a succulent Chinese meal. BYO Chinese dining has been a Melbourne mainstay since the 70s, built on good food and great wine. On Sunday 31st May, we're heading to Lagoon Dining on Lygon Street, the “sharp, fine-ish diner with Chinese characteristics” as described in the Good Food Guide, where the team will more than take care of us.

Before Lagoon’s arrival, Lygon Street was in a “time-honoured spaghetti stronghold”, until this “raunchy, low-lit salon stormed in, trading in the flavours of Asia and sparking a culinary revolution”. As the Good Food Guide goes on to say, “the current golden age of Lygon Street began with Lagoon Dining, and it remains its fearless leader.”

This is an open invitation to you and your teams. Book a table and bring wines that you love to drink. Made lovingly by your own hand, from friends in vines, or something you’ve been waiting for the right moment to open. A back vintage, a magnum, or a quiet overachiever. No rules, just good judgement.

We’ll kick things off with NV Ruinart Blanc de Blanc in Zalto, then settle into a generous four-course menu built for the occasion. A room full of peers, a table full of bottles, and that familiar end-of-vintage feeling when the work’s done and the stories start flowing

Natural rock oyster, yuzu kosho
Pickled baby cucumbers, whipped tofu, fragrant chilli oil

Hot and numbing beef tartare, pickled shallot, coriander, Chinese doughnut
Chrysanthemum, tofu, sesame oil, pine nut
Fried chicken, white pepper togarashi, tonkatsu sauce, curry leaf

Charcoal roasted char siu, tare, hot mustard
Iceberg wedge, miso ranch dressing, puffed buckwheat
Japanese steamed rice

Jasmine tea pudding, matcha cream, strawberry, sorghum praline

Non-Member Tickets: $169 per person

General Notes

• 67 Pall Mall Melbourne reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Members are advised to check the event page for the latest updates.
• The Club reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event due to insufficient attendance, forces of nature, accidents or emergencies. In such cases, we will either refund the full cost of the event or arrange an alternative date.
• If any substitutions with the Wine List become necessary, we will ensure the value and quality of replacement are equivalent.
• All Members and guests are required to maintain an appropriate standard of dress. As a rule of thumb, smart casual dress code applies, unless otherwise specified by the event.
• The legal drinking age is 18 years old in accordance with the Victorian law.

Ticketing

• Please note that this event is arranged in a communal seating style, and seat allocation is subject to Club's discretion.
• Bookings are confirmed once payment is received. At this point, refunds are not possible. However, tickets may be transferred to another Member.
• Dietary requirements can be catered too with prior notice. While we will do our best to cater to dietary requirements notified on the day, some dishes may be without substitutions.
