67 Pall Mall's Annual Christmas in July

There’s something pleasingly eccentric about celebrating Christmas in July down under, and for the third year running, we’re all in.

A much-loved fixture on the 67 Pall Mall event calendar, Christmas in July returns on Friday 24th July. This year, we head to Florentino on Bourke Street, taking over the upstairs private dining room, a space that has welcomed guests for close to a century, for an evening in one of Melbourne’s enduring dining institutions.

This is a full-scale Christmas table, reworked for a Melbourne winter. Four courses, generous and seasonal, built for the occasion and paired with a line-up that’s been hotly debated, refined and secured by the 67 Pall Mall team. Expect bottles with substance, age where it counts, and enough character to stand up to the richness of the menu. A chance, too, to experience the nostalgia of Christmas in its winter setting, in contrast to the long, hot days when the season usually arrives in the southern hemisphere.

Now under new stewardship, Florentino continues to balance its standing as “a precious commodity, a literal piece of living history” with a team attuned to modern expectations, recognised with Two Hats in The Age Good Food Guide 2026 and defined by “a level of care and technique that’s rare”.

Support for Combat MSA
Each year, in the spirit of giving and giving back, the evening carries a charitable element. Last year, we were proud to raise nearly $10,000 for Alex Makes Meals. This year, we are supporting Combat MSA, the charity founded by renowned chef Teage Ezard following his diagnosis with Multiple System Atrophy.

Throughout his career, Teage has been deeply embedded in the art of hospitality, guided by a belief in the synergy between food and wine: that every dish finds its clearest expression when paired with the right bottle. Combat MSA is dedicated to raising urgent awareness and funding vital research into this rare neurological disease, offering hope for a future without MSA.

This is a celebration. We begin by popping corks on a Member favourite, with Krug Grande Cuvée on arrival – only the best bottles at Christmas. Then, taking inspiration from our sumptuous surroundings at Florentino, we're pairing this year's festive menu with a lineup from some of the most notable names in the heart of Tuscany. Starting with Chardonnay from Isole e Olena and Marchese Antinori, we then move through three standout expressions of Sangiovese - from Brunello to Chianti Classico - and finish our savoury fare with two giants of the Super Tuscan landscape that need little introduction, Ornellaia and Sassicaia.

• If any substitutions become necessary, we will ensure the value and quality of the replacements are equivalent.
• All Members and guests are required to maintain an appropriate standard of dress. As a rule of thumb, smart casual dress code applies, unless otherwise specified by the event.
• The legal drinking age is 18 years old in accordance with the Victorian law.
• Cancellations made within five business days of the event are unfortunately not eligible for a refund. In the event the cancelled ticket can be reallocated/ reissued to waitlisted Member, a refund may be issued at the Club’s discretion.
