#67SommSocial with Arthur: Old World Oddities from the Road Less Poured

It’s time for another Saturday #67SommSocial, this time led by Sommelier Arthur Chang. Arthur, who has been with the Club for two years, has a particular interest in wines from lesser-known regions boasting ‘a strong character that plays to our more adventurous side’, as he says.

For this session, he has selected a quartet of distinctive wines that highlight some of the further-flung corners of classic European countries. The line-up is designed to spark curiosity, offering Members the chance to discover rare and characterful expressions beyond Burgundy, Bordeaux and Brunello , via equally compelling wines that showcase diversity, heritage and individuality.

Take Metaphusis, a Swiss fizz of which only 1,000 bottles are made. Or the Ministre Impérial red blend from the rugged granitic hills of Corsica. Or the captivating white from the almost extinct Albillo Mayor grape variety made from neglected old bush vines in Ribera del Duero by our former Head Sommelier in London, Terry Kandylis.

This is not a structured, classroom-style masterclass, but rather a relaxed session in a casual, living room–style set-up, which will see Arthur lead the session and introduce each wine, while mingling with Members throughout.

General Notes

• 67 Pall Mall Singapore Ltd reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Members are advised to check the event page for the latest updates.
• The Club reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event due to insufficient attendance, forces of nature, accidents or emergencies. In such cases, we will either refund the full cost of the course, or arrange an alternative date.
• If any substitutions become necessary, we will ensure the value and quality of replacement are equivalent.
• All Members and guests are required to maintain an appropriate standard of dress in the Club at all times. As a rule of thumb, smart casual dress code applies, unless otherwise specified by the event.
• The legal drinking age is 18 years old in accordance with the Singapore law.
• Club policy applies.

Ticketing

• Tickets may only be purchased by Members of 67 Pall Mall and Members should be present at the event. Members are welcome to bring non-members.
• Bookings are confirmed once payment is received. At this point, refunds are not possible. However, the place may be transferred to another Member.

Masterclasses

• On the rare occasions when the speakers become unavailable, we will endeavour to reschedule the event. However, if there is less than 72 hours’ notice, we will in most cases proceed as planned.
• Please note that masterclass tastings do not include a meal. Restaurant reservations can be made before or after the event. If reservations are unavailable, our reception team may be able to offer walk-up tables on the day.
