If you met Juan Colás at a rave in the desert, you might not be surprised when he offered you a mind-altering experience... But when you see him on stage at 69 Atlantic, the trip does not come in the form of a tab or a pill. With minimal props, and expert sleight of hand, Juan creates a fantasy the whole audience can experience together.

Thoughtful, funny and deeply passionate about the art of "ilusionismo," Juan Colás is one of the most celebrated young magicians in the world.

His eccentric approach to sleight of hand has won him a global audience on Instagram and his ability to communicate his art through silent movement has transcended language. He presents his magic live, both on stage and close-up, to enraptured audiences across China, Europe, North America and South America. In just a few years, this young man has racked up thousands of frequent flyer miles and fans around the globe.

Colás trained in fine art in his native Spain, studying painting and sculpture at university. But not long after leaving school, he decided to abandon the studio and develop a new creative path on stage.

As Juan says, "By the time I finished my studies in Bellas Artes, magic already held a symbolic significance for me; I had learned—and understood—that magic, or 'ilusionismo', was merely a channel of expression, much like literature, poetry, or cinema."

Juan Colás is a good reminder that a fresh perspective can make the old feel new again. He presents magic that inspires a heart-to-heart connection. We're excited to see it up close and feel it for ourselves.
