HYC Blue Fund is hosting an event to raise awareness and donations for local Police Officers to receive less than lethal training with Hamptons Jiu-Jitsu!

Now more than ever, we see the need and demand for Police Officers to have better training for physical interactions with the public. Through donations to HYC’s Blue Fund, we will be able to sponsor local Police Officers to receive Jiu-Jitsu training to the Blue Belt level. Blue Belt is a sophomore-level of achievement where we feel comfortable, they will know how to handle street encounters better, and will mitigate risk to all involved. The goal is to start locally on East End Long Island taking care of our Police and Civilians and making sure these donations have a direct impact on the local community. Better trained Officers via Jiu-Jitsu means the less likely use of serious physical force by way of weapon systems. Further, the goal is to promote the safety and well-being of our local Officers. Jiu-Jitsu should be a mandatory part of Police training but unfortunately this is not a reality that departments will fund. By working together with our community members who support our local police, as well as the officers and members of the PBA’s, we believe we can provide tuitions for multiple officers per year that have never trained in Jiu-Jitsu and truly make a difference locally.

The event will be held at Blu Mar Hamptons (136 Main Street, Southampton) on Saturday April 22nd, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Tickets are available for individual sale, online or at the door on the day of the event. All GA tickets support the cause and include a 3 course meal (buffet and cocktail style) + open bar for a single guest.

There are options to become a sponsor for our event as well. One officer's training up to a blue belt level is priced at $5,000. Sponsorships are offered at different levels to support Police Officers' Jiu-Jitsu trainings. All sponsors will be advertised at the event and will have a customized patch made for an Officer's Jiu-Jitsu Gi. All levels of sponsorship include a Table (up to 6 guests) and a 3-course meal (buffet and cocktail style) + open bar.
